The Dendera Zodiac
Conclusions

The evidence of the astronomical alignments of the Dendera Zodiac to the planetary positions at the winter 2729 BCE winter solstice that has been presented in this website is so overwhelming that it can be concluded with absolute certainty that the Dendera Zodiac could not possibly have been designed by anyone in recorded human history.

If you carefully read through the previous eight pages of this website you will notice that the Dendera zodiac is not a map of the night sky with the zodiac positions included on it, it is the defining sculpture of the zodiac system itself. The planetary positions of the 2729 BCE winter solstice are the data set that is used to define the zodiac. The zodiac sign divisions were identified as follows

PISCES - The Moon, final astronomical alignment
ARIES - Mercury after the zodiac alignment
TAURUS - The raw angle of the principal God character
GEMINI - Saturn before the zodiac alignment
CANCER - Uranus after the zodiac alignment
LEO - Jupiter after the zodiac alignment
VIRGO - Saturn after the zodiac alignment
LIBRA - Mercury before the zodiac alignment
SCORPIO - Venus after the zodiac alignment
SAGITTARIUS - Neptune after the zodiac alignment
CAPRICORN - UNRESOLVED
AQUARIUS - Venus before the zodiac alignment

The existence of Neptune in the sculpture precludes any possibility that the Dendera zodiac was created from simple visual observations of the planets. Moreover, the necessity to use the fundamental astronomy angles of the 'longitude of the ascending node', 'the argument of periapsis' and the 'true anomaly', each of which is individually marked off within the planets' geometry, shows a fundamental underlying understanding of celestial mechanics which no known society has ever possessed prior to recent times. The deliberate choice to use true anomaly, rather than the mean anomaly, shows a complete command of the subject matter on the part of the architects.

It can be concluded that the zodiac was designed around the time of the 2729 BCE winter solstice or, using modern ephemeris data standards as a baseline, within two or three hundred years either side of this date. This would date the zodiac's design to the same time period as the Great Pyramid of Giza and because the rams head of the 'first point in Aries' on the sculpture can be seen to be identical the hook that was retrieved from the lower northern shaft of that building, in can be concluded that the Great Pyramid and the Dendera zodiac are designed by the same architect.

The amount of subtleties within the actual carving of the sculpture considered alongside the amount of parts of the carving that have not had to be used during the reverse engineering displayed in this website point to much more information being present in the sculpture waiting to be uncovered.

With this in mind, and with the unanswered questions regarding the staff of the God that represents the planet Mars that was shown on the previous webpage and the missing definition for the Capricorn zodiac division line, an investigation of the parts of the sculpture that are connected with the Mars God and the Capricorn segment of the zodiac was undertaken.

The results of this investigation provided evidence of three interconnected and highly unusual details in the Dendera Zodiac which start to explain the source of the carving's data set.

What has been uncovered on the pages of this website so far may well have surprised you, and in particular if you have a understanding of celestial mechanics the detail within the sculpture will probably have astounded you. With the preliminary advice that what is on the next page takes things to the next level and is outrageous in the context of our current knowledge at the time of publication of this website in the year 2024, the second Mars analysis page can be accessed by clicking the following the link.
